BARC is on Board as a Partner
We are proud to welcome BARC on board as a partner for the Project 680 Community Bike Ride. “BARC” stands for “Bicycling Advocates for Rancho Cordova.” In addition to recruiting some of their members for the ride and possibly doing some other networking, we have asked BARC to give a few safety tips to all of us immediately before we hit the trails on November 7th.
Even though we are doing a short ride that mostly anyone can do (3-4 miles one way – and then back the same distance after relaxing at River Bend Park), it’s still important to ride safely. On that note, we do recommend the use of a bike helmet for our ride. Don’t worry, we won’t bring a heavy hand or enforce any sort of helmet rule. We’re just saying we like people and we are fans of planning for safety.
