The Quote of the Day: Speaking of Underwear…..
“Never in my life did I think I’d be standing in front of a large group of people, holding a microphone and talking about underwear!”
It’s hard not to smile when hearing that. This quote is from a local woman named Bonnie, who has been a key part of Project 680. She spoke yesterday at the Cordova Senior Center and she is also going to be raising awareness about local homeless students and our cause to possibly two other local organizations. Way to go Bonnie!!! You are an inspiration to all of us.
I suppose none of us thought we’d be involved in an underwear drive either, but here we are. Thank you to everyone who is finding practical ways to get involved in this effort. Let’s keep going and thinking outside of the box about how we can raise awareness about student homelessness as well as creatively cause an avalanche of underwear.
