The Grand Tally so far is….

Our goal is to raise $1,500 for the sake of local students in need in the FCUSD. We are partnering with the District Liaison for Homeless Services to support her yearly shoe drive. It is an honor to work as a team to help provide shoes for some of the neediest students in the FCUSD. We are very excited to see that $1,002.50 has come in so far and we look forward to meeting and exceeding our goal of $1,500. We chose $1,500 because that amount in effect will cover 100 pairs of brand new shoes for local students.

Keep up the great work everyone!!! Let’s keep working together as a team to make this happen.

A $500 Community BBQ

Thank you to New Horizons Christian Church for deciding to do a community BBQ last Sunday as a way to raise support for the Project 680 Shoe Drive. The church paid for all meat and supplies, and church members brought side dishes to share. 100% of donations were directed to the Shoe Drive, which is tremendous. New Horizons called the community and local neighbors together to grill at Stone Creek Park for the sake of local students in need, and we are touched by people’s generosity. Thank you so much for your profound gift to these students. In essence, $500 will put shoes on at least 25 local students.

We continue to welcome individuals, households, churches, organizations and businesses to get involved in this effort.
